Neck Pain Spreads to Shoulder
Radiating shoulder ache often means facet joint irritation, muscle guarding, or nerve root involvement in the neck.
Common patterns
- Dull ache from lower neck to top of shoulder (facet or muscle)
- Tingling/burning down arm (nerve root irritation)
- Worse with prolonged sitting or head-forward posture
At-home relief
- Posture reset every 30–40 minutes (chin nods, shoulder rolls)
- Gentle neck range within comfort; avoid forceful stretching
- Heat/short walks to reduce muscle guarding
Get checked if you notice weakness, progressive numbness, or night pain that wakes you.
How we treat
- Circulation HD for nerve/fascial entrapment.
- Circulation PT for posture correction, scapular control, and graded mobility/strength.
