What Is Circulation Therapy?

What Is Circulation Therapy?

A 3-stage system that gets blocked circulation flowing again and loosens stiff movement

Why Circulation Therapy?

Most chronic pain comes from how the body is working, not from visible damage to its structure.

When circulation drops, fascia sticks together, and nerves grow oversensitive, the pain keeps going even though an MRI looks normal.

Circulation Therapy is built to break that cycle and give the body room to heal on its own.

Pain comes from two things at once, how sensitive your nervous system has become and how unevenly force is loading your body.

It reflects those two factors far more than the amount of damage. Circulation Therapy works on both at the same time.

3-Stage Circulation Treatment System

1

Downshift

Downshift icon

Stabilizes overly tensed muscles and nerves. Reduces inflammation and relieves protective tension through Circulation HD.

2

Activate

Activate icon

Wakes up the main muscles that have gone weak and restores joint movement. You get function back through one-on-one treatment with a therapist.

3

Integrate

Retrains these patterns so they carry over into everyday movement, building habits that lower the chance of the pain coming back.

Circulation Therapy Programs

Circulation HD

Focused on the Downshift stage

An ultrasound-guided injection. Saline eases inflammation and frees fascia and nerves that have adhered.

  • No steroids
  • Works for acute pain or several pain sites at once
  • Eases protective tension right away

Circulation PT

Focused on the Activate and Integrate stages

One-on-one therapy with a therapist. It wakes up weakened muscles and helps you relearn proper movement patterns.

  • Wakes up weakened muscles first
  • Focused on getting function back
  • Pattern training to reduce recurrence risk

Treatment Process

  1. Initial Consultation (10 minutes)
Detailed assessment of pain patterns, lifestyle habits, and past treatment history. Red flag check is also conducted.
  2. Functional Evaluation
We pinpoint the root cause through movement tests, palpation, and trigger-point mapping, with an ultrasound scan if needed.
  3. Treatment Plan
We look at how sensitive the nervous system has become and how unevenly force is loading the body, then map out the stages to fit your condition.
  4. Circulation Therapy
We apply whichever fits, Circulation HD, PT, or Combo, running the Downshift, Activate, and Integrate sequence in each session.
  5. Effect Evaluation and Adjustment
Measures NRS (pain score), ROM (range of motion) etc. to verify treatment effectiveness and adjust plan if needed.

Suitable For

  • Chronic pain patients with pain persisting over 3 months
  • Those with normal MRI results but still experiencing pain
  • Those who received treatment at multiple clinics without effect
  • Those experiencing recurrence after temporary improvement with injections or medication
  • Those with remaining pain after surgery
  • Those wanting to avoid steroid injections

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I receive Circulation Therapy?

We usually start with 2 sessions a week and stretch out the intervals as you improve. In the acute phase that means 2-3 times a week, in the subacute phase 1-2 times a week, and in the chronic phase we shift gradually toward a PT-centered approach. Most people need about 4-8 weeks.

What’s the difference between Circulation HD and Circulation PT?

Circulation HD is an ultrasound-guided saline injection that handles the Downshift stage. It releases overactive muscles, adhered fascia, and entrapped nerves. Circulation PT is one-on-one treatment with a therapist that handles the Activate and Integrate stages. It wakes up weakened muscles and helps you relearn proper movement patterns.

Does Circulation HD contain steroids?

No. Circulation HD is performed primarily with saline and does not use steroids. PDRN (salmon DNA injection) may be selectively used if needed.

Will treatment interfere with daily life?

Most can resume daily activities immediately after treatment. Most experience natural pain relief within 5 minutes after procedure. Some (about 10%) may experience soreness lasting from a few hours to a few days, which is a normal response.

How long do effects last?

Responses vary by condition and individual. The three stages address symptoms, function, and daily movement patterns, with the aim of supporting longer-term management and reducing recurrence risk.
